We are thrilled to announce that Bear Races is now the proud owner of the Pikeman Triathlon. This popular National Series race, held in Rosslare, has been a staple of the triathlon calendar for the past six years, and we are committed to maintaining the high standards that have made it such a success.
A Smooth Transition for 2025
After an incredible six-year run, Wexford Triathlon Club sought a way to ensure the race could continue in the future. With no club member available to take on the demanding role of Race Director, we turned to Bear Races —a trusted partner since 2018—to take over the event.
To ensure a seamless transition, the former Race Director and Wexford Triathlon Club will work closely with Bear Races in 2025. Our shared goal is to replicate the exceptional experience athletes have come to expect, from course setup to race-day operations.
What This Means for Athletes
- No Changes to the Race Experience – The 2025 Pikeman Triathlon will maintain the same course, setup, and National Series status.
- Entries Remain Open – Registration will continue through Triathlon Ireland’s Race Calendar.
- No Action Needed for Registered Athletes – If you’ve already signed up, your entry is secure. Just train and get ready for race day!

Bear Races want to extend our gratitude to Wexford Triathlon Club for their years of dedication, along with the athletes, marshals, volunteers, and local supporters who have helped make this race special. We also appreciate the ongoing support of Triathlon Ireland, Wexford County Council, and An Garda Síochána, whose contributions have been invaluable.
