Kick-starting the triathlon season a little early, one of Wexford’s international jet-setting triathletes, Michael Stafford, took on the Abu Dhabi long distance triathlon yesterday. This is almost an iron0man distance race comprising a 3 km swim, 200 km cycle and 20 km run. Michael had an impressive bike split, completing the 200 km in under 6 hours. Hope the UAE baggage handlers are gentle with the TT bike!
