Good day at the National Duathlon Championships

The National Duathlon Championship race was hosted by 3Rock triathlon club in Ashford, Co. Wicklow last weekend. Tom O’Reilly and Phil Murphy represented Wexford Triathlon Club in the race. The race began with a 10km run, followed by a 40km cycle and was finished off by a 5km run. Tom O’Reilly finished in an impressive time of 2:17:21, closely followed by Phil Murphy in an equally impressive time of 2:23:37. All those early morning turbo sessions are certainly reflected in the times.

Fran Traynor was flying the purple and gold colours on the West Coast in the Connemara Half marathon. The scenic course meanders past bogs, hills, lakes and the Twelve Pin mountains starting in Leenane and finishing in Maam Cross. Fran finished the half marathon in a time of 1:49:55.
